METodológia – Tánckutatás most!
címmel konferenciát szervez 2024. május 3-án a tánc világnapja alkalmából.
A konferencia a tánckutatás módszertani kérdéseinek megvitatására vállalkozik. A szakmai diskurzus célja a tánckutatással és a néptánccal gyakorlatban foglalkozó szakemberek közötti párbeszéd erősítése és a jelenkori megközelítések láttatása. Bár már számos konferencia és kötet foglalkozott a néprajzi és antropológiai módszertani változásokkal, ez idáig kevés szó esett arról, hogy a tánckutatás elmúlt közel fél évszázadában e tekintetben milyen folyamatok zajlottak le, milyen jelenségekkel szembesül a táncgyűjtő a terepen, milyen változások történtek a digitális forradalom hatására.
Mindezek mentén a konferencia a következő kérdéskörre fókuszál:
- Terepmunka
- Megfigyelési módok, rögzítési eszközök
- Tánctanulás a terepen – a kutató teste mint adatgyűjtési eszköz
- Tapasztalatok egykor és most
- Terepkutatás egyedül vagy csoportban
- Nőként a terepen
- A terepmunka fizikai és pszichés nehézségei
- Archívum: terep vagy kutatási helyszín
- Kutató – kutatott viszony
- Internet mint kutatási tér
2. Az értelmezés folyamata
- Adattárolás, adatfeldolgozás
- Közreadás etikai kérdései
- A tánckutatás eredményeinek felhasználási módszerei a táncpedagógia és a táncművészet területén
- Émikus és étikus értelmezés
- Táncjelírás mint rögzítési, feldolgozási és értelmezési módszer
- Táncfilm mint forrásanyag a táncoktatás és táncművészet területén
A konferenciára a Társaság tagjait, önkéntes és hivatásos folklórgyűjtőket, néprajz- és tánckutatókat, gyakorlati szakembereket, valamint egyetemi hallgatókat is várunk.
A nyilvános előadások hozzájárulnak a tánckutatás eredményeinek társadalmi elismertségéhez.

Publikációs lehetőség
A konferenciára benyújtott absztraktokat ISBN számmal ellátott online elérhető absztraktkötetben, a tanulmányokat lektorált, ISBN számmal ellátott elektronikus tanulmánykötetben jelentetjük meg.

The Scientific Programme Committee of the Hungarian Association for Ethnochoreology (HAE) organises a conference with the title of
METhodology – Dance research now!*
on 3rd May 2024 in Budapest, Hungary on the occasion of the International Day of Dance.
The conference will explore methodology issues in dance research. The professional discourse aims to strengthen the dialogue between dance research and folk dance practitioners and to provide insight into contemporary approaches. Although there have been numerous conferences and volumes on changes in ethnographic and anthropological methodology, there has been little discussion of the developments in dance research over the last half century, the phenomena that dance researchers have encountered in the field, and the changes brought about by the digital revolution. The public presentations will contribute to the social recognition of the results of contemporary dance research.
In this manner, the conference will focus on the following issues:
- Fieldwork
- Observation methods, recording tools
- Learning to dance in the field – the researcher’s body as a data collection tool
- Experiences then and now
- Fieldwork alone or in a group
- Women in the field
- Physical and psychological difficulties of fieldwork
- Archive: field or research site
- Researcher – researched relationship
- Internet as a research space
2. Process of interpretation
- Data storage, data processing
- Ethical issues of disclosure
- Methods of using the results of dance research in the field of dance pedagogy and art
- Emic and etic interpretations
- Dance notation as a method to record, process and interpretation
- Dance film as a source material in the field of dance education and art
The conference is open to voluntary and professional folklore collectors, dance researchers, practitioners, and university students.
The public presentations will contribute to the social recognition of the results of contemporary dance research.

Publication
The abstracts submitted to the conference will be published in an online abstract volume with an ISBN, and the studies will be published in a peer-reviewed electronic study volume with an ISBN.
